I know, I know, its 3 days before Christmas and I can't stop thinking about resort! Whats wrong with me that I am always looking to the next thing? My husband always tells me to live in the moment more. Yet, try as I may I just can't help but plan for whats happening next. Not sure if this is due to my firstborn status, living in 8 cities in 6 years or the fact that I have to plan my collections so far in advance. Well whatever it is its never going to change. So here is what I am obsessing over for spring. Hmmm, Miami in January, I think so!

Happy Holidays everyone! It's that time of year again. I am currently working on my Christmas wishlist what about you guys?

Ok well, I'm totally obsessed with clutches these days. Maybe it's because I now have two kids under three years old and am always toting around a super sized bag. I never have time for clutches anymore! So now I am dying over the following bags and yes, they're all on my wishlist.

My first love is definitely jewelry design, but if I could do two jobs at once I think interior design would be my next passion. There is just something about a beautifully designed living space that speaks to me. In my free time I buy home magazines and search the internet for inspiration for my future home. Since we move around, ALOT, I think its become a slight obsession of mine to be able to design, build and decorate a place my family will be comfortable and happy. Its at least 5 years off but we'll get there. Anyway, enough about that. In all my searching I came across a company I LOVE, Mottega is a lighting company that allows you to pick your own shapes, colors, finishes and then sends you the lamp of your dreams. It was created by Arteriors (another company I am crazy about) founder Mark Moussa.

I was lucky enough to win a chance to design my own lamp. I know, pinch me. It took me a few days to figure out what look I wanted, but I settled on something I knew I would love forever and that would transition easily into my dream home. I chose the Sofia lamp in Spa (a beautiful sea foam green), with a square lucite base and lucite finial. The end result is beautiful, elegant and a little edgy (the lucite base gives it a little extra something).

Instead of sharing it with my family, I have her in my studio, she fits in perfectly with my Hadley Hutton paintings and lights up my work space. In the future I may just let the rest of my family see her, but the jurys still out on that.

Packing List: Miami Beach

Today I am gearing up for my annual girls vacation with one of my bff's. Every year we pick a spot and meet for a much needed girls trip. Usually we head to NYC for some intense retail therapy, but this year since we both just had babies ,somewhat recently, and are in colder climates we decided a beach vacation was in order. My in-laws were amazing enough to come up and watch the kids so although I will still worry, at least I know they are in good hands.

We are staying at the amazing Fontainebleau which I have never been to but am anxious to see (check back for a review on that) and planning on shopping, relaxing and eating. Oh, and we may toss back a few cocktails while we are at it.

I am a total nerd when it comes to packing. I need to plan out every last detail of what I will need for each day. There is nothing I hate more then feeling un-prepared and looking like a tourist, haha. So besides a ton of reading material and my mac here are some of my much needed accessories for this trip.

For dinner and drinks I usually like to add color and sparkle with accessories. Our Blythe earrings in this amazing Aqua/Green color will go perfectly with my lace Robbi & Nikki dress (which I got on sale thankyouverymuch), my red patent zanottis (another amazing find, enter code "nonevent"for another 20%off!) and my sea foam Nancy Gonzalez Clutch (see below).

Another jewelry staple for me is my arm party. I can't get enough bracelets! During the day I like to pile them on. There is something so personal and artistic about the jewelry a girl picks, and none more so then a stack full of bracelets. I don't discriminate either, they aren't all MAD.

My go to shades are from Ray-Ban. I am very loyal to these babies. I will ONLY wear their Large Metal II aviators. For some reason they just look great on everyone and go with everything.

And lastly ,my loves, my bags. I couldn't believe my luck when I scored this Nancy Gonzalez clutch for 1/3 of what it normally costs. And the sea foam color, ahhh. It will be the perfect accessory for those late night dinners with friends.

I haven't become any better at updating. Forgive me! It has been pretty busy here at Melanie Auld Designs. I have decided to take a break from designing bags to focus more on my love of jewelry. If you've been following me on twitter/facebook, you already know that. I'm slightly better at posting updates there!

Just because I'm taking a break from designing bags doesn't mean I'm taking a break from bags all together! I am a bag nut and have been obsessing over every single Celine luggage tote for the past year. The new neon colors threw me over the edge. Alas, it was not meant to be, have you seen the wait list on those puppies? Anyway, my runner up was a black medium luggage tote in leopard jute and I definitely lucked out. It will be arriving on my door step any minute now. I will be sure to post pictures of it really soon. Possibly on my Miami trip.....stay tuned!

Its been quite the month here. I know, I know, this poor blog hasn't been updated enough lately. Well I have excuses, plenty of them. We have been working on our Spring/Summer 2012 collection diligently for the last month and are still adding pieces daily. We moved from Montreal to Florida to Ottawa all in the last 4 months and are finally settled in. Oh and I had a baby. A sweet little girl Ella Grace Auld in July. Forgive me?? Well I am hoping you will once you see our latest collection! Sneak peek below.

For the love of flowers

One of my best friends recently gave birth to her 2nd child. He is beautiful! And of course so is she. I wanted to create my own flower arrangement to bring over to her house. Partly because I was inspired by all the beautiful flowers available here in South Florida and partly because I am so anal when it comes to floral displays. I can't stand "fillers", babys breath, ugh. Too much greenery, no thanks. And you can really never be sure what the other person is getting when you order flowers and have them delivered. I always find myself wondering what the receipient actual received and what they thought.
If the jewelry design business should ever go south I would be happy to open a flower shop. There is just something about putting together beautiful bouquets that makes me so happy.

I went to a local store and purchased white, pink, purple and peach roses (it came to less then $30!). I used them all up in her arrangement and still had flowers left over. Since I had bought Peonies, Calla Lillies and Carnations last week I had some still alive and others falling apart. I decided to use the healthy ones along with the left over roses for a couple mini arrangements for our house.

I can't even imagine what a florist would have charged for a floral arrangement like that. And add in my 2 mini arrangements, forget it, well over $150.
(Not that she wouldn't be worth it! But believe me, this girl loves a deal too.)

Jewelery, to me, is one of the best forms of expression when it comes to my wardrobe. As a designer and consumer I love to mix and match. It all depends on my mood, what city I'm in and what look I am feeling that day. When I was thinking up new additions to our jewelry collection I really wanted to create something that could be interpreted thousands of different ways. Literally thousands.

Enter our stacked bangles. I have been test driving these babies for the last few months and am so excited! We were going to wait and introduce them for fall but they are just so glam and fun in the summer that I wanted to get them out asap! For inspiration I really had to look no further then the stones. Fuchsia fire agate, faceted amethyst, turquoise, coral, mother of pearl, my mind is spinning just thinking of the beautiful hues and all the possibilities. I added these amazing pave balls and ovals to some designs, charms to others and sometimes both. I mixed ebony wood, white wood, bayong wood and gold, silver and gunmetal. The possibilities are just endless.

We put together some stacks to show just what they can look like mixed (they also look great alone, or mixed with your own leather, fabric, bangles) we will be coming out with a few other stack options as well. As a designer I feel like I am constantly looking to be inspired, motivated and challenged. Of course the internet plays a huge role in my business, but it also plays a huge role when I am looking to invent. It's very rare to come across a website that truly speaks to me, so when I stumbled across thecoveteur.com my first thought was JACKPOT! Started by Erin Kleinberg (an amazing Torontonian designer) and Stephanie Mark (a fashion and wardrobe stylist) its a behind the scenes glimpse into the closets, showrooms and homes of fashions most elite. I could spend hours checking out what some of my fashion favorites have stocked their closets with. Its like fashion voyeurism! My current fav, Celine Kaplan, OMG her Chanel jacket is to die for! I can only dream of having a closet like these women, never gonna happen, oh well for now I can live vicariously through them.

ACCIDENTAL EMPRESS

Jessica Simpson scores herslef a new title, as the fashion industry's latest "Accidental" Billion Dollar Empress. What started as the former 'it-girl's' self-titled line of Fragrance and Footwear, has grown to take the industry by storm. Things are only looking up for Simpson and her crew, as she's confirmed plans to add both a full ready-to-wear collection, as well as a "career separates" line into the empire later this year. With projected annual sales pushing the billion dollar bracket, Jessica is said to be the first 'celebrity-turn-designer' to hit this level of success. And who'd have ever thought that the ditsy, carefree blonde would grow to blow fellow celebrtity competitors like Nicole Richie, and the Olsen twins right out of the water. To put these numbers into better context, it's safe to say that Jessica Simpson is doing roughly the same volume in sales as industry achievers like Michael Kors, or Tory Burch. This girl is rolling in some serious dough. We're impressed. And, so long as we're not tuning in to her second shot at reality tv 'The Price Of Beauty' (cringe)..we're more than happy to see how successful the Texas native has proven to become. New York Magazine recently caught up with one of our favorite Fashionisto's, Editors-at-Large, and Elle Magazine's front runner, Mr.Joe.Zee. One of the few style supreme's who's managed to bypass the stereotype of the average industry guru, tucked behind a pair of unneccesarily oversized sunglasses and wide brimmed fedoras at any public attempt. A chatty Cathy rather? Could there be a humorous, down to earth, well-grounded, super success in this industry? Yes.. and his name is Joe Zee. The creative director, turn editor has come to epitomize a new form of major-player personality. The 42 year old has made a name for himself in the cut throat industry with a different approach, wearing a cooler attitude.Which makes perfect sense for the New York Times to name Joe Zee one of Fashion's few 'approachable ambassadors'. And isn't it refreshing? To finally see some integrity in an industry thats far too often bashed as pretencious? It's people like Joe Zee that reassure us, that there are a bunch of level-headed, creative minds working their butts of to keep the world of Fashion interesting and competitive. And although Mr.Zee's aggressive social networking skills have proven him a Twitter-ville favourite, we think that the news of his very own TV show will work wonders for his loyal fan base. For all of you girls who didn't get quite enough Zee from MTV's The City, here's your chance. Flare pays homage to Melanie Auld as their finely selected homegrown label of the month in their latest April issue.
Next up, MAD's Holly earrings ranking Gossip Girl Green on MTV Style's "Get The Look" feature. MTV tracked down the top resembling styles to the Green Gem stoned earrings of Gossip Girl, Blake Lively. And believe us when we say.. we're blushing.

If there's one designer that knows how to taunt and tease me season after season, runway after runway, it's absolutely, one hundred and fifty percent Balmain. And besides the slight fact that creative director Christophe Decarnin pulled a no-show, failing to back up his Parisian preview yesterday, crowds weren't surprised to recieve yet another season full of brilliance for Fall 2011. According to Women's Wear Daily, "the designer was absent under doctor’s orders, after having recently been released from the hospital, where he was said to have been treated for depression." One skeptical explanation after the other regarding the where-abouts of Monsieur Decarnin, and the rumour pot has gone from a simmer to a boil within 24 hrs. Another anonymous source claims that he's been in a mental hospital since January, going on to describe him as a 'total nightmare'. "He dissapeared one day mid-January, when an announcement was made to fellow employees that he would not be coming back."
Yikes bro, we hate to hear it. Couture just wouldn't be the same without industry big wigs rocking your astronomically priced, sequined, studded magic. Get well soon man!

When Vogue Turkey decided to turn up the heat for their first anniversary issue, they did a mighty fine job in terms of model selection. Our favorite Brazilian bombshell fronts a simple yet effective March issue for her third Vogue cover this year. (The girls in high demand throughout the wonky world of Conde Nast). Shot by Mert and Marcus, Giseley worked her magic as George Cortina styled with the likes of YSL, Gucci, and McQueen for March 2011. And It doesn't stop here. Gisele will continue to grace covers through to spring, as she's scheduled to front Emmaneul Alt's first Vogue Paris Issue sans Roitfield for April 2011. Strong decisions all around. If there's one way to make a dramatic debut, it's with Mme.Bundchen. Way to go Emmanuel, we like you already.

Behind the scenes with the catwalk crew for Marni's Autumn/Winter 2011 preview at Milan Fashion Week on Sunday afternoon. Head designer Consuelo Castiglioni cited "sever elegence" as her inspiration for the fall collection. That being said, the runway was finely wrapped with the line's signatures. Bold rich color, tasteful prints, clean lines, and reworked basics. The collection oozes a taste of nonchalant decadence that further supports Castiglioni's new elegance. This months Vogue Paris will certainly fill shelves in the french country house of Carine Roitfield, as she's named this March issue her last. The 56-year-old landed the role of French editor 10 years ago, and has since grown to become one of the most influential names in fashion. Details on Roitfield's decision to bid farewell from the renowned publication were released abruptly back in December, leaving the industry startled. "It is impossible to overstate Carine's powerful contribution to Vogue and to the fields of fashion and magazine publishing. Under her direction, Vogue Paris received record levels of circulation and advertising and editorial success." - Jonathan Newhouse, CEO Conde Nast International.
After pairing the 'Editor in Chief' title with countless designer power suits over the past 10 years, Roitfield claims that the time has come to devote her efforts to personal projects only. Upcoming jobs have not been discussed or released, but we have no doubt that she'll master whatever she puts her paws on. Spring 11' is entitled “The Beautiful and the Damned” and looks to be quite fitting considering the collection is damn beautiful. Bad joke? Alice Temperley opted to skip NYFW to mark her label's decade anniversary through a showing at London Fashion Week in the grand surroundings of The British Museum. A venue not likely used for this purpose, Alice Temperley seems to ooze decadence wherever she shows. Intricate stitching, and heavy embellishments on rich, heavy silks and delicate tulles left the crowd (and antsy bloggers like ourselves) simply swoon. Our favorite part? The way she pulls off the use of crystal, fringe, pleating, silk, and ruffles all in one piece that boasts a surprisingly subtle result. *sigh* With a collection like this, and raved reviews throughout London, Alice has got reason to raise her glass to an astounding 10th year. Topshop Unique takes the runway to a new level of creative direction for A/W 2011. 101 Dalmatians meets....an entire fall collection? Looks like Topshop took their inspiration a tad too literal. While there are plenty of wearable pieces, we're finding ourselves to be quite confused with the whole Magical world of Disney inspiration. Where were we when Cruella De Ville was named a style icon? Day 4 of London Fashion Week, and the Royal city is on a roll. All designers, models, production crews, and lucky little interns have wrapped up a fast-paced, sequin laced 7 days of Manhattan madness to jet set themselves to England's fanciest fashioned town. Doesn't New York's seems like a dream ago? Fashion weeks, you are awfully hard to keep up with. Fascinating, nontheless. And amazing for my laptop's battery life. WWJD. What Would Johan Do? Or better yet, what won't Johan do? And what is Johan about to do? Johan Lindeberg, the man behind way too many successes in the industry will continue to build his resume with the launch of BLK DNM this Spring. Beginning as CEO of self named denim brand, J.Lindeberg has grown to become one of the biggest names out of Scandinavia, and the list doesn't stop there. CEO at Diesel, Founder at Paris86, and Creative Director at William Rast are a few of the wild stints he calls career experience. With the Spring launch of BLK DNM (pronounced black denim) Lindeberg looks to create a retail concept for the line that is a little different than we're used to. He explains that he'd like to cut out the retail part altogether, making the line available to customers online or in the brand's own free standing shops (also offering the threads at wholesale prices..like!). Eight looks for women, and Eight looks for men will make up BLK DNM's big debut that he also chose to name as "Seasonless". Half way through New York Fashion Week, and our bookmarked websites are flourishing with updates. We've been refreshing our true and trusted source, style.com all weekend and are no longer searching for a lack of fashion feed. The material just keeps coming. Last night, Elise Øverland took the music, models, and trade vip's to an informally 'cool' runway with temperatures to match. Models stood in Øverland's Fall pieces, as figure skaters from the Ice Theater of New York twirled around the 'not so blue-lines' of The Standard Hotel's outdoor rink. Cool. And the pieces? Fabolous. The Norwegian born designer worked with a bubbly palette, opting for colors much lighter than most Fall recipes call for. The pastels were said to have been chosen lightly based on how it would reflect the lighting, to then hit a frozen runway. They really do think of everything, when it comes to NYFW. For Paris Fashion go-ers, there's designer partying, stiletto trotting, celeb spotting, and an overall excitement level that can't be good for anyone's heart rate. And thanks to him, we're all able to live International Fashion Weeks through the glamorized, street style candids that he's become known for. The British born label encouraged an original, 'do-it-yourself' advertising approach as they supplied four of the industry's top-model roster, with their own camera and a few pieces from their Spring collection.

After sparking enough of my interest I then went on to learn about Rag & Bone's "DIY Project". A contest in which the brand hopes to encourage their customers to do participate in through acting upon the same creative activity. It's time for me to finally confess, to my (not-so-mild) obsession with Sir Alexander Wang. I told myself I would try to contain the fascination within the four walls of MADBLOG, and didn't think it would be so hard to fight. Until.. his Spring/Summer Collection hit blogs galore in these past few weeks. The seasons magic word? PURE. Working with a pale palette of neutrals, whites, and everything but black, he contradicts the grunge/dark mood that the brand has been known for in Wang's short but effective industry history. The designer quotes "I wanted to move away from that hard, tough, aggressive, urban mood I've become known for. So there's no black, not even a hint of black." He then goes on to describe the collection as "Light, optimistic, pale colors, dropping hems down to the floor, my first real prints, It's even romantic."
Call me crazy, but there is literally nothing this man has designed that I haven't found myself dying over. Ok, so some of the apparel isn't for everyone, nor very practical. But his shoes, boots, bags, and dresses? Not real life. For an up and coming designer, at his age I find myself more amazed with his success each season. On top of all of that, he then seizes to amaze me by pulling off the coolest tricks in the trade with his unique campaigns, spreads, shows, and collaborations. The show kept up a constant hype throughout the 3 days with hundreds of buyers, exhibitors, designers, and loads of fast paced New Yorker's sporting buzzing blackberries from 9 am onwards. And aside from everything that already had us wanting to call Manhattan home, the atmosphere in NY's fashion scene has proved just another reason. This city knows how to own an Industry. First day of the show, and I think all three of us were more excited about a newly formed friendship with Melanie Auld Design's Fall Hobo's than the fact that we were business tripping' in New York City. But seriously, can you blame us?
Apart from obsessing over the new collection, each of us lapped the show a few times to 'ooh- and ahh' over the ENK 'Intermezzo' apparel line up, while taking advantage of what was a slow day for most exhibitors. The rest of opening day included Mel talking MAD with a New York lifestyle blog, Emma crazy gluing her hands to the Society Clutch in black leather, and Eddie chatting up several storms with countless buyers, security staff, and industry representatives. (ha ha!) Our night ended with a taste of Italian, seated under a cozy copper tinned roof and exposed brick walls. Comfy conversation and a good meal in Manhattan's prettiest pizzeria, Donatella had us preparing ourselves for another busy day at ENK's Accessorie Circuit. photos: emma

Less than twelve hours later, Pier 94 went from eek to chic just in time for opening day at The Accessorie Circuit. During Saturday afternoon's set up, the venue looked nowhere near as sparkly as it did the following morning. A touch of glitter, combined with clean color blocks of black, white, and red made for some stimulating scenery as ENK unrolled a lime green carpet to cover the grounds for the next 3 days. Whether it was the fresh decor, or the fact that we were hitting Melanie Auld's first solo trade show in North America's FASHION CAPITAL, this may have been our most exciting Sunday morning in a long time. *insert shivers here* Pictures 9-12 peek at Mel playing around with her jaw dropping Fall 2011 Snob Hobo in brown suede. After a long day of custom issues, flight changes, coffee runs, sample pick ups, and booth prep we're finally finished and ready to take ENK's Accesorie Cicruit by storm. Much to our surprise, countless booths were left sitting empty as we left at an eye bagging time of 6pm last night. Our set up ran smoother than laser hair removal, making a seafood dinner at LURE Soho that much more enjoyable. Nine hours of sleep and some morning room service later, we're en route, and ready to tackle opening day at ENK's Accessorie Circuit. This dress was the first thing I looked at when walking into a basement filled with topshop treats at SSENSE last week. Maybe because I have a soft spot for silk embellished dresses, or the fact that it stuck out like a sore thumb amongst jean jackets and patent leather mini skirts. Regardless, as soon as I started to rummaging through rolling racks I knew I shouldn’t have tried her on.
But, you know how the story goes. The first glimpse triggers a double take, prolonged eye contact is made, a physical attraction is established, then turns to complimenting, which turns to touching, and the next thing you know you’ve got a (fitting) room. I apologize, I got lost in the moment and couldn’t help myself.
As I ooh’d and ahh’d over the floor length fairytale, I tried as hard as possible to ignore the two boys convincing me to bring it home. They alllllllmost had me swiping my card away, with a surprising price point of $260 Canadian, until reality hit. Seriously, where the honk am I ever going to wear this? My weekly agenda includes activities revolving around a retail sales floor, various downtown coffee shops, and the occasional dive bar come weekend. (Not to mention how suave I’d look rolling my cart down the frozen food aisle in this number.) As much as I wish I had Gossip Girl garden parties to attend, unfortunately I just don't. As promised, above are some additional photos from last weeks visit to our first glimpse of the TopShop collection at SSENSE Montreal. The highly anticipated collection was found tucked into the cozy basement of the retailer’s two storied luxy loft space. The basement holds two walls showcasing party dresses, miniskirts, vests, cardigans, and silk blazers, as well as one wall dedicated to the brand’s male counterpart, TOPMAN. A smaller assortment was selected to test the waters in Old Montreal and will expand upon success. For Montrealer's who cant quite quit the TopShop habbit, or find the time and money to hit SOHO once a month, this will act as the cities UK fashion fix. Our fellow Canadian bombshell suited up in Stella McCartney, Gucci, and Marc Jacobs as Ellen von Unwerth lensed her attempt at creativity. Anyone else find it hard to believe that Stam was raised on a pig farm, alongside six brothers, and "acidentally" discovered in a Tim Horton's bathroom on her way home from Canada's Wonderland? Remeber those human leashes the cruel parents would use to tame their children through a visit to Ikea? I would probably have to resort to one, in order to contain myself in Via del Corso's newest Zara store. This thing is HUGE. Overwhelming. Brilliant.

We usually don't get this excited about swimwear. But, when Mara Hoffman sent tall, tanned, toned top-models down the Mercedes Benz Runway last spring, the jewel-toned pool suits were far too hard to resist. The 2011 Resort Swimwear collection dons Hoffman's signature bold colors, intricate prints, and a series of untried silhouettes. Hoffman states that her inspiration was drawn from "A mystical journey through the jungle, visiting crystal caves, rivers, and oceans." she then goes on to describe "A tongue-in-cheek Amazonian tribeswoman in a bikini, following her White Horse spirit guide." NY Mag recently published a short clip of the self-made talent, that is Scott Schuman. The photographer speaks lightly on the source of inspiration for his web-renowned photo blog titled, "The Sartorialist". Schuman started the blog while working for some of the industry's biggest design houses, and high earning show rooms. He knew that his love for photography and fashion would some day collide, but never expected what has come of The Sartorialist. The man has mastered the art of capturing not only a look, but a complete style in through candid streetstyle photography. "What they're wearing is not really that important, which is really different than what street photography has been in the past. It was always very much a report of what people were wearing, where for me that's much less important. The concept, and the abstract idea is much more important than trying to report what people are wearing." His organic images serve as visual caviar in the world of Fashion Photography. We recently caught a glimpse of J Mendel's Pre-Fall 2011 preview and are absolutely swoon. Mendel's past work for the New York City Ballet is quite apparent through the collection's ornate fabric swatches and organza'd gowns. Delicate chiffons, bits of lace, tulles, and neutral hues reflect the former tutu tailor's balletic inspiration, while structured silhouettes steer the collection clear onto an avant garde runway. The whole preview has us wanting more. It looks as if J Mendel threw a swanky party at The Plaza and had valet boys snapping the runway looks as the same model came and left (12 times). Loving the combination of pretty chiffon dresses topped with bulky fur layers, and oversized wool coats, as if she borrowed her guy's cloak for the 10 foot trott to the limo. Has anyone ever really doubted Karl? His recent choice on Blake Lively for the new face of Chanel provides just another reason to give praise. Blake and her goldi-locked goodness will grace media outlets galore representing fashion's creme de la creme, Chanel for the French fashion house’s next handbag campaign. The leggy blonde spent time filming in Paris for Gossip Girl’s season premiere where she was said to shoot the upcoming Chanel campaign. This was the same week she sat front row at Paris Fashion Week for Chanel’s runway haute couture show, alongside off-screen bff Anna Wintour. Also the same week she hopped on the back of Christian Louboutin’s a vespa to tour Paris with the man himself, who in turn named a pair of strappy stilettos after her. With two Vogue covers under her belt, endless on and off screen fashion encounters, and a pair of legs like hers, we have no doubt she’s stopping here. As some of you may have noticed, I've got quite the soft spot for a well done editorial. To me, the point of an editorial is not just to showcase the latest, (most often) overpriced couture, but rather how the creative team behind it works down to each pocket-sized detail to portray a beautiful series of photos in their own unique, and creative ways. A lot like artists, these talented stylists and photographers work hard to put together pieces of art that will conveniently serve as fashion advertisements. (you're welcome industry). Whether the spread is telling a story, highlighting a trend, or simply taking up a few pretty pages in your favorite mag, sometimes they're all you need for a little source of inspiration. Above is a far too well done spread titled "Run of Show" from last January's W Magazine.
