DIY

My upcoming weekend project is also a goal of mine: to fully unlock that artsy + crafty part of my brain the best I can.

I saw this Do It Yourself'er and instantly knew it was do'able... and also the perfect fit for a certain room in my house.

Paint Chip Wall Art

1) Select your desired color scheme in paint chips gathered from Home Depot or a similar store

2) Cut one triangle to the size you want and use as a template

3) Cut triangles out from other paint chip samples and create your pattern on the paper before gluing it {in case you want to switch up any colors}

4) Coat your paper with spray adhesive or attach your pieces with rubber cement or other adhesive.

5) After you perfect the pattern you want transfer them one by one to the sticky sheet of paper cut to the size needed

6) Trim off any overhanging triangles, put it under glass, and you're done!

Polka.dot

I have yet to get tired of polka dot anything. It is one pattern that I think has stood the test of time. It's also a pattern that can be worn vintage, stylish, and just oh so adorable. Besides the many sweaters, scarves, and dresses, I have fallen in love with polka dot stationary, throws, phone cases, etc. One look I will surely always love.

Blaze on.

Right now I am loving and lusting over colored blazers. Perfectly paired with jeans, some cute heels, and some great MAD jewels.... one great outfit indeed.

Patio'ing.

One of my favorite summer rituals is enjoying a calm summer night on the patio with my girlfriends. Sipping sangria or wine, enjoying some light appetizers, and chilling out and relaxing. Or "patioĆng" as I like to call it. These fresh spaces would make it just that much more enjoyable.

I think I need to head to the Garden Center.

Fall wish.

I've already started my Fall Wish List. It's not that I am wishing for summer to cruise by any faster than it already has. It's just that, well... Fall fashion makes me more just as excited as Christmas did when I was a little girl.

This outfit is on my mind for date night or a girl's nights out. Subtly sexy, perfectly refined.

Brogues.

The shoe popping up everywhere this summer! We'll be seeing even more styles continuing into Fall. For those of you who haven't met, let me introduce you to the brogues. A great shoe for jeans and skirts/dresses. Easy to pair up with tights when the leaves start turning.

Pops of pink.

Normally not the most girly type, but lately I've been eyeing up and loving any pops of pink that I see. The brighter the better!

Lucky for me, I spied a color list on the Melanie Auld Designs Facebook fan page that brainstormed some upcoming color ideas for her new line. Neon pink? Yes please!
