But, when Mara Hoffman sent tall, tanned, toned top-models down the Mercedes Benz Runway last spring, the jewel-toned pool suits were far too hard to resist. The 2011 Resort Swimwear collection dons Hoffman's signature bold colors, intricate prints, and a series of untried silhouettes. Hoffman states that her inspiration was drawn from "A mystical journey through the jungle, visiting crystal caves, rivers, and oceans." she then goes on to describe "A tongue-in-cheek Amazonian tribeswoman in a bikini, following her White Horse spirit guide." A simple "tribal influence" would have done, Mara. But whatever you were smoking when you released that statement can stick around the drawing board next season.
