As some of you may have noticed, I've got quite the soft spot for a well done editorial. To me, the point of an editorial is not just to showcase the latest, (most often) overpriced couture, but rather how the creative team behind it works down to each pocket-sized detail to portray a beautiful series of photos in their own unique, and creative ways. A lot like artists, these talented stylists and photographers work hard to put together pieces of art that will conveniently serve as fashion advertisements. (you're welcome industry). Whether the spread is telling a story, highlighting a trend, or simply taking up a few pretty pages in your favorite mag, sometimes they're all you need for a little source of inspiration. Above is a far too well done spread titled "Run of Show" from last January's W Magazine. Alex White styled with copious amounts of miu miu, lanvin, chloe, and more while Craig McDean lensed the 30+ jaw dropping beauties. Run of Show, you've got my vote. photocreds: W Magazine
